Introduction

Are you already working with financial markets and investment products and looking for an opportunity to move closer to Investment Advisory and Private Banking?

We are currently supporting an international private bank in Luxembourg in the recruitment of a junior investment professional to join its Investment Solutions team.

For this position, your current job title is not the most important factor. What matters is having practical experience in market research and investment product analysis, and being able to turn this analysis into relevant information to support Investment Advisors and their clients.

You could currently be working in Investment Advisory, Market Research, Product Analysis, Fund Analysis, Asset Management or Wealth Management.

Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities

Working closely with Investment Advisors, Portfolio Managers and Product Specialists, you will:

  • Follow financial markets and key market developments
  • Research and analyse investment products across different asset classes
  • Compare funds and financial instruments based on their characteristics, risks and positioning
  • Identify relevant market and product opportunities
  • Support Investment Advisors in preparing investment recommendations
  • Contribute to investment proposals for Private Banking clients
  • Prepare product analyses, presentations, factsheets and investment materials
  • Maintain investment product information and internal databases
  • Participate in investment committees and internal discussions
  • Contribute to the improvement and automation of existing processes and tools

Profile

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field
  • Around 1 to 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Hands-on experience in financial market research and/or investment product analysis
  • Good understanding of financial markets and investment products
  • Strong analytical skills and good command of Excel
  • Genuine interest in Investment Advisory and Private Banking
  • Proactive, curious and eager to continue developing your investment expertise
  • Portuguese and English are mandatory
  • French is considered an advantage

We are particularly interested in professionals who already spend part of their daily work following markets, researching products and analysing investment opportunities.

Purely operational, accounting or administrative experience without exposure to markets or investment products would not correspond to the core focus of this position.
