Introduction

Are you a seasoned legal professional looking for a strategic role in an international financial group? Our client, a well-established European leader in financial asset management, is seeking a Head of Legal to oversee its Luxembourg operations.

As part of the management team, you will play a key role in guiding strategic decisions on M&A transactions, portfolio acquisitions, and corporate governance, while ensuring the company's operations remain fully compliant with Luxembourg law.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

  • Advise the management team on legal and regulatory matters impacting Luxembourg operations.
  • Draft, review and negotiate transaction documents, shareholder agreements, NDAs, and various contracts.
  • Oversee corporate governance processes and ensure compliance with company law.
  • Support M&A projects and portfolio acquisitions, including strategic structuring and external negotiations.
  • Collaborate with Group Legal and investment teams across Europe to drive business objectives.
  • Manage and coordinate external legal counsel when required.

Profile

Your profile

  • Law degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally from a top-tier law firm or in-house within asset management, debt collection, or financial services.
  • Solid knowledge of Luxembourg law, with proven experience in contract law, banking & finance, corporate law, and M&A transactions.
  • Familiarity with NPL transactions is a strong plus.
  • Fluent in English (French is an advantage).
  • Highly organised, autonomous, and business-minded, with excellent communication skills.
