Responsibilities
Tax Legal Counsel - Your Role :
As a Tax Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance and advisory matters for the Luxembourg investment platform, which includes SPVs and alternative funds. Working closely with internal teams and external advisors, you will ensure tax efficiency and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance & Advisory: Oversee FATCA/CRS analysis, challenge classifications, and ensure accurate tax reporting.
- Transfer Pricing: Review reports prepared by external advisors, analyze findings, and engage with service providers on potential discrepancies.
- Corporate Tax: Provide support on direct tax matters, including structuring advice and compliance.
- Regulatory Filings: Ensure all tax-related filings and obligations are met in Luxembourg and other relevant jurisdictions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with legal, finance, and external tax advisors to optimize tax efficiency.
Profile
Tax Legal Counsel - Your Profile:
- At least 8 years of experience in tax law, preferably within a PSF, law firm, or Big 4 environment.
- Initial experience as a List I lawyer is required. Without this, your application will not be considered.
- A very good knowledge of SPVs and the life cycle of AIF funds is also required.
- Strong expertise in FATCA/CRS, transfer pricing, and corporate taxation.
- Fluent in English (French is an asset).
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to challenge external advisors when necessary.
- Team player with strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.
