Introduction

Joining this human-sized investment management firm (AIFM) means becoming part of a stable and collaborative environment where quality, autonomy, and expertise are truly valued. Specialised in Private Equity, this agile structure offers a modern and spacious workplace where work-life balance is not just a promise but a reality.

More than just a Senior Financial Accountant position, this is a genuine long-term opportunity to become the future right hand to the CFO. As the company continues to grow, you will progressively take on greater responsibilities, supervise a small accounting team, and play a strategic role within the finance department.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities

  • Manage the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of approximately 20 entities, including Private Equity Funds, SOPARFIs and holding companies. This hands-on exposure will allow you to deepen your expertise in Private Equity structures while becoming a trusted technical reference within the business.
  • Lead and supervise a team of two accountants, overseeing workload allocation, reviewing their work, mentoring them on technical matters, and ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of all accounting operations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Luxembourg regulations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with auditors, tax advisors, banks and other external stakeholders throughout the financial reporting process.
  • Support internal and external audits while ensuring the reliability and integrity of accounting records across all entities.
  • Work closely with the CFO and Conducting Officers on strategic financial matters, contributing to process improvements, financial decision-making and the continuous development of the finance function.

Profile

Your profile

  • You have at least 10 to 15 years of experience in accounting, including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial position, ideally gained within a fiduciary, PSF, AIFM or investment management company.
  • You hold a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline and have developed strong technical expertise in Luxembourg investment structures, including SOPARFIs, holdings and Private Equity vehicles.
  • You are fluent in English and French. Knowledge of Italian would be considered a strong advantage.
  • You are an experienced people manager who enjoys mentoring colleagues while remaining operational and hands-on.
  • You are autonomous, proactive and comfortable working in a lean organisation where flexibility, ownership and versatility are highly valued.

Job Offer

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of up to €90,000 gross per year, complemented by a discretionary annual bonus.
  • A genuine career development opportunity, with a clear medium-term path to becoming the CFO's trusted deputy.
  • A healthy work-life balance with flexible working hours and no culture of systematic overtime.
  • Modern and spacious offices located in the south of Luxembourg, with free parking and easy access by public transport.
  • Meal vouchers worth €15 per working day, complemented by a comprehensive health insurance package.
  • A flat organisational structure within a close-knit team of only five professionals, where your ideas are heard, your work is recognised, and your impact is immediately visible.
