In the role of Data Protection Specialist, you will be tasked with ensuring adherence to data protection laws while also supporting the security of information systems. Responsibilities
Data Protection Specialist : The Function
- Ensure adherence to data protection regulations (including GDPR) and establish internal data protection policies.
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to identify and assess risks associated with the processing of personal data.
- Educate staff on best practices for data protection and raise awareness around information security.
- Oversee the response to data breaches, promptly notifying relevant authorities and affected individuals.
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure systems comply with data security standards and adapt to new regulatory requirements, such as DORA.
- Provide guidance on projects involving personal data to maintain ongoing compliance.
Profile
Data Protection Specialist : Your Profile
- You hold a Master's degree in Law, with a focus or significant experience in data protection and information technology.
- You have between 3 to 6 years of experience in data protection, preferably gained in a consultancy, law firm, or within the banking sector.
- Data protection certifications (e.g., CIPP/E) are a valuable addition.
- You possess strong IT skills, including proficiency in information systems and Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- You have excellent communication skills, both for raising awareness among teams and for producing clear and detailed reports.
- You are fluent in English and have a solid command of French, which is crucial for effective team communication.
