As part of its continued development, the Luxembourg office is looking to appoint an experienced Chief Compliance Officer / Head of Compliance to lead its Compliance function and play a key role in supporting the business, senior management and governance bodies.
Responsibilities
The Role
Reporting directly to senior management, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire Compliance framework of the Luxembourg entity and ensuring that the business operates in full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the Compliance function while managing and mentoring the local Compliance team.
- Acting as the primary point of contact with the CSSF and maintaining a constructive relationship with the regulator.
- Managing regulatory inspections, coordinating responses to regulatory requests and overseeing remediation plans where required.
- Advising senior management and governance bodies on Compliance and regulatory matters.
- Designing and maintaining the Compliance Monitoring Plan and Compliance Risk Assessment.
- Overseeing AML/CFT, sanctions, KYC and financial crime compliance frameworks.
- Reviewing and validating high-risk client relationships and complex onboarding matters.
- Monitoring regulatory developments and ensuring the implementation of new regulatory requirements.
- Promoting a strong culture of compliance across the organisation.
Profile
Profile
To be considered for this opportunity, you should possess:
- At least 10 years of Compliance experience within the Luxembourg financial services industry.
- Previous experience as Chief Compliance Officer, Head of Compliance or Conducting Officer - Compliance.
- A background within a Corporate Services Provider (CSP), Fiduciary, Management Company (ManCo), AIFM, Fund Administrator or a comparable environment.
- Demonstrated experience interacting directly with the CSSF, including regulatory inspections, supervisory correspondence and ongoing regulatory matters.
- A strong understanding of the Luxembourg regulatory framework, AML/CFT obligations and governance requirements.
- Proven experience managing a Compliance team and working closely with executive management.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English is essential. French is considered a strong advantage.
