Conducting Officer within an Elite Alternative Asset Manager
Compliance — Grand Duchy of LuxembourgIntroduction
In the world of European mid-market private equity, performance is nothing without integrity. Our client manages multi-billion euro funds across complex private equity and opportunistic credit strategies. But beyond the assets, they have built a culture powered by agility, diversity, and operational excellence.
To orchestrate, protect, and elevate their regulatory ecosystem in Luxembourg, they aren't looking for a checkbox checker. They are seeking a Guardian of Investor Trust-a strategic leader ready to turn compliance into a competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
Your Impact: Strategy, Influence, and Safeguarding Growth
Here, your expertise will never be confined to a back-office silo; it will live at the very heart of major deal-making and corporate governance. Your mission centers on four strategic pillars:
- Anchor the Culture of Integrity: As the Responsable du contrôle du respect des obligations (RC) for the AIFM and its funds, you hold the shield that protects the firm's reputation and sustains investor confidence.
- Advise Top-Tier Governance: Sit alongside the Conducting Officers Committee and the AIFM Board. You will decode the regulatory implications of new cross-border business ventures, acting as a vital sounding board for global executives.
- Secure High-Stakes Transactions: From advanced due diligence to deep-dive KYC/AML protocols on Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) during fund closings, you are the essential link that allows complex deals to cross the finish line safely.
- Command International Oversight: Lead the compliance due diligence on service providers, manage branches, and maintain a seamless, high-level dialogue with the CSSF and international regulators.
- Elevate Executive Wealth Frameworks: Oversee the ongoing compliance of sophisticated Management Incentive Programmes (MIP), blending high-finance technicality with pristine AML oversight.
Profile
Your Profile: The Precision of an Expert, the Vision of a Leader
You thrive exactly where complexity intimidates others. You will stand out in this role if you bring:
- A Proven Track Record: 7+ years of experience within alternative asset management (Luxembourg AIFM or ManCo). Exposure to the UK or Channel Islands markets is a distinct advantage.
- A Solid Technical Foundation: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Finance, or Accounting that gives you absolute confidence navigating regulatory landscapes.
- Mastery of the Ecosystem: A flawless grasp of Luxembourg regulatory frameworks, CSSF expectations, and private equity AML/CFT protocols.
- Collaborative Leadership: A calm demeanor, natural diplomacy, and the interpersonal agility required to build trust across diverse, international teams. Fluent English is non-negotiable.
- A Growth Mindset: A background in supporting scale-ups or operational change projects, backed by a personal drive for continuous evolution.
